Common salary mistake when applying for ILR

It is often (wrongly) thought that the above minimum salary for ILR is the actual minimum. In reality, there are 2 rules on Tier 2 salary for ILR, so a sponsor has to be paying the highest of them . Rule 1: the minimum as above.  Below that minimum ILR application won’t succeed. Rule 2: the salary has to still be paid at the appropriate level, as per the Code of Practice for the given SOC code (occupation).   Example 1 : a migrant is working under code 2421 Chartered and certified accountants.  Experienced salary level is £29,000 pa (for 39 hours per week). ‘ILR minimum’ salary is £35,800 if the date of application is on or after 6 April 2019. Therefore, the Tier 2 sponsor has to increase salary to ‘ILR minimum’. Example 2 : a migrant is working under code 2419 Legal professionals not elsewhere classified  Experienced salary level is £48,200 pa (for 39 hours per week). ‘ILR minimum’ salary is £35,800 if the date of application is on or after 6 April 2019. In this case, the

Annual UK Government fees increase

Dear friends, This time every year we inform our clients about possible increase in the fees the UK Government charges for visa applications and British Citizenship. This is not related to Brexit (other than it could be an excuse to charge even more!) As a tax year begins on 6 April 2019, the higher fees usually take place. April may sound like a long way away but with UK visa or Citizenship applications, it is imperative to plan in advance. We have no information (yet) whether the fees will change this year, and this has become the norm – the Government doesn’t announce it too early. We do, however, have last 10 years of experience to expect a yet another increase, as we do every year. When it does happen, the Government gives only a few days’ notice – to avoid the rush of applications before the higher fees take effect. Just look at what they did with health surcharge this January! It was announced on Friday 4 th  January 2019 that health surcharge would double to £4

When to apply for British Citizenship?

Image
It’s the ultimate goal for any foreign citizen coming to the UK – the British passport! The journey may take time and money but it is well worth it! You may be just at the beginning of your ‘journey’, such as having your 1 st  UK visa, or you may be already on the way to Indefinite Leave. It is never too early to find out your rights and make a plan for the future. Here is our short 5-point summary to get you started. #1 Spouses of British citizens: The process is initial Spouse visa (30 or 33 months), then extension for further 30 months, then permanent residency after 5 years. You can apply for British Citizenship straight after that. Most common mistake: applying after 3 years of residency in the UK. #2 European citizens and family members: Firstly, you need to acquire a permanent residency status, usually after 5 years in the UK. Then you can apply for Citizenship 1 year after you have qualified for the PR. Even if your PR document was issued later, you can still

Spouse, Fiancée or Unmarried Partner visa?

Image
How are they different? What are advantages of each of them? Our helpful table below gives you the visa options for partners of UK citizens. Spouse visa Fiancée visa Unmarried Partner visa Marital status  Have to be married (or get married) and apply for a UK visa as a Spouse.  Allows you to come to the UK, get married within 6 months and then apply for a Spouse visa.  Instead of being married, you have to have lived together for 2 years. Where to apply? You can apply for a Spouse visa in the foreign spouse's country. You can also apply inside the UK but only if your current UK visa allows such a "switch". You can only apply for a Fiancée visa outside the UK, usually in the foreign partner's country.  This includes a situation where your current UK visa allows to switch to a Spouse visa but you prefer to take the Fiancée route (such as if you need more time to meet the Financial Requirement)

We have a new five-star review about our Fiancée visa services!

SYLIVIA, Ugandan, Applied for Fiancée visa: The best immigration LTD a soliciting company in the UK, located at 68 King William street right next to House of Fraser on Monument underground tube station in the city of London. We used a train from Bournemouth to London but it was easy to reach there as the building is clear just as in the photo so we just entered office with a nice view facing London Bridge. The most important thing is that they know more than any other Immigration company. They advise you well, I managed to get my marriage (Fiancée) Visa with the advise and list of documents. They told me to gather when I was still in Uganda last year before the application as sometimes when you're using self employment route you can't figure out how it's being calculated but this company let's you understand. To avoid the stress and if you can afford an immigration solicitor, I advise you to look no further just contact them, we are now preparing for my spouse
