New successful case and testimonial on application for British Citizenship for an Egyptian citizen who was born before 1983 to a British mother.

“It could not have been any better! I will always recommend your firm. I received excellent advice throughout the application process and I was particularly impressed with your thorough knowledge of immigration issues, efficiency, continuous monitoring, genuine caring, total compliance, and very good value for money, particularly when compared with law firms. (And in regards to the advisor Joanne) all I can say is I wish other people were as helpful, professional and caring, as you are!! Thank you very much for all you have done, and continue to do. I am sure your company must be very proud of you.”    We are, Ahmed, thank you for the kind words!    This is an interesting category, open to those born before 1983 to a British mother. Why only mother? Because before 1983 only fathers could pass their nationality to their children while mothers could not. What now seems like an unfair ‘irregularity’ in the law was ‘corrected’ in 1983 when anyone could cla...

New successful case and testimonial on Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR, permanent residency visa) for a Tier 2 migrant who spent 5 years in the UK.

“I would like to thank the 1st 4Immigration team for the great job in preparation of my (successful) ILR application! In particular, I would like to thank Joanne for her being very meticulous with the related paperwork and accompanying documentation and for giving non-trivial advice in several cases where I did not know how to answer a particular question in application form. I would also like to thank Neil for staying with me in Croydon during the time my application was being processed, that was a great psychological support. I recommend their service to everybody looking for an immigration advisor. The process of applying for long-term residence visas is not only complex but also emotionally demanding because you understand that you whole career and family life depend on the outcome of this application. In this case, you need somebody on your side to be both professional and emotionally supportive. 1st 4Immigration is exactly that kind of a team! They are very far from that...

Spouses of EEA nationals: how to count continuous residence in the UK for the purpose of permanent residence application?

This post is about the starting point, ie when to start counting the 5 years of continuous residence in the UK for a spouse or civil partner of an EEA citizen. It covers spouses and civil partners (but not unmarried partners) who are EEA nationals (‘Polish married to Polish’) and who are non-EEA nationals (‘Brazilian married to Italian’).   If we assume your EEA spouse has been living and working in the UK for 5 years. When do we start counting your (family member’s) period of residency? From the date of marriage for spouses? From the date of entry to the UK? We usually find a point when all of the following requirements have been met, so whichever is the latest of these: 1)      Date of marriage. 2)      Date when both you and your EEA spouse have been in the UK (meaning if one of you came to the UK after the other, it will be based on the latter date). 3)      Date when your EEA spouse started exercising...

Bespoke Russian Visa service and Visa support (invitations) - urgent applications before a long Russian holiday starts on 1st January

As the long Russian holiday is approaching, Russian Consulates in the UK will be closed from 1 st to 11 th January 2016. If you require an urgent Russian visa before that – there is still time! Multi Travel Visas offers bespoke Russian visa service. It is very fast and convenient and a visa applicant can submit an application - and biometrics - at our office in the City of London (Monument area). This service allows us to act as a visa centre and collect the biometrics (fingerprints) at our office in the City of London, which is easily accessible by all transport links. Under this procedure we prepare an application form, check the documents, order a visa invitation if needed. Then, rather than going to the visa centre and queuing there for hours, we will provide a biometric kit at our office. Conveniently, you would have a 1 – 1.5 hour window to come to our office (the day/time pre-arranged as convenient). Right here, on the spot, and without queuing, you will be able to pro...

“Hi Joanne, we, would like to thank you and the team for the excellent Professional advice, guidance, support, and detailed attention to our Case and prompt daily response to our queries during the ongoing application stage and submission of the Case for a Fiancée / Settlement Visa. The Application was successful, which we are truly grateful for. Without your  professional guidance and knowledge we are sure we would not have been able to achieve my Visa. Your understanding and sympathetic way of handling our Case was outstanding. The time you gave to us will always be gratefully acknowledged in our hearts and remembered fondly. It felt as though we were part of a family and had known you for years. The Confidentiality of our case was important and this was given throughout. New successful case and testimonial for a UK Spouse visa, entry clearance from the USA, for a husband of a dual British/Irish citizen.

“ I just wanted to thank 1st4immigration Ltd for doing such a GREAT job! Before contacting your office concerning my request for settlement, my wife and I were sent from one immigration office to another by Home Office, with each appointment being with the wrong forms and the wrong office. Not only was it frustrating, it was expensive due to transportation costs and Home Office appointment fees. Thank you for understanding exactly what would be needed and how very complicated immigration has become. Your office understood the law and the amount of information that would be needed for a successful application. Outstanding job!!! We are grateful for your expertise and all you've done to assure our settlement together here in the United Kingdom. Absolutely outstanding!!!!"                                      ...
