Last week before our immigration fees go up on 1 September – apply now to use the old fee!

Our service fees will be changing from 1 September 2014. We do try to keep them as affordable as possible but many of the current fees remained at this level for almost 4 years. You can, however, start the application process now, in August, and avoid the increase!

You don’t have to be eligible to apply now, we understand your application may not be due for some time. However, as long as we have a signed letter of engagement and a deposit in August 2014, we can keep your case until you are ready to make an application.

This not only lets you save the money, it also allows to ask as many questions as you have from the point of paying a deposit in August and until your application is ready to be submitted to the Home Office. It means you may have several months, a year or even more of an unlimited advice regarding your case.

If you paid an advice fee to us earlier (£70 or £100) and didn’t make an application yet - we would count it towards our service fees, as usual. 

Here are the main categories where our fees will increase from 1 September 2014:

Indefinite leave to remain (permanent residency) for spouses and partners of British citizens (SET M), same-day service at the Home Office: now £599+VAT, new fee £750+VAT.

Indefinite leave to remain for those with Ancestral visas, same-day service at the Home Office: now £599+VAT, new fee £750+VAT.

EEA Residence Card (EEA2), EEA Family Permit for spouses of European nationals: now £499+VAT, new fee £599+VAT.

Permanent residency under EU law (EEA3 and EEA4) for European citizens and non-European family members: now £599+VAT, new fee £750+VAT.

British Citizenship for European nationals and their family members: now £599+VAT, new fee £750+VAT. 

British Citizenship excluding the above applicants: now £499+VAT, new fee £599+VAT. 

Fees for dependants when applying with the main applicant, such as Tier 1 Dependants: now £100+VAT, new fee £150+VAT.

Tier 4 (Student), same-day service at the Home Office: now £599+VAT, new fee £750+VAT. Here increase is due the very time-consuming online application form.

Fees for the main applicant for a Spouse/Partner visa (initial or extension), Tier 1 General, Tier 1 Entrepreneur and Investor, ILR based on Tier 1 and Tier 2  remain the same as now. Dependants’ fees go up from £100+VAT per person to £150+VAT per person.

UK immigration authorities continue to process visa applications, albeit not as fast as they normally would. The visa centres are beginning to gradually re-opening from 1 June 2020 in the UK and abroad. UK Visas and Immigration plans to go paperless in 2018. If it works, family visas – for spouses, partners, children etc – will be submitted online instead of the current paper forms and supporting documents.

How do we know? We, 1 st 4Immigration Ltd,   were chosen by the UKVI to take part in a survey to provide a feedback on the upcoming system. We are very honoured! As can be seen on the Home Office letter (pictured), we were selected as one of only approximately 50 firms in the whole country, following the request of the Home Office to the OISC. We had a visit from 2 Home Office officials in November 2017. What a great day and what a productive visit! The officials informed us they had been trying hard to promote the online application process for in-country applications, such as FLR(M) for spouses and partners of UK citizens.
