Global Talent visa is for people with achievements – or a promise – in digital technology, science, engineering, architecture, medicine, arts including TV and fashion design. You can work for any employer , work as a contractor or set up a business, as long as it is work in your Talent field. Settlement after 3 to 5 years.  For example, with a Talent endorsement (not Promise) from Tech Nation, which is for IT workers, you only need 3 years in the UK to qualify for Settlement (permanent residency). It gets better, you don’t even have to spend all 3 years on a Global Talent visa, you can combine with some previous UK visas.
