Sally was a solicitor and had plenty of knowledge on the immigration matters, such as spouse and family visas. She wanted to gain knowledge of the Points-Based System to help her to work on the PBS cases.

As a practicing OISC-accredited immigration firm, we are 1st 4Immigration work on Points-Based System applications on a daily basis and with great success. This includes Tier 1 Entrepreneur applications and Tier 2 Sponsor Licence applications. We also help with a business plan, which was made a compulsory requirement from 6 April 2015.

Points-Based System has become a popular subject within our OISC Level 1 training course (both online course and a classroom one), so we started offering it as a separate course from March 2015, after we were told by the Level 1 attendees that they were there mainly for the Points-Based System.

The course, named Points - Based System training course: Tiers, Points, Dependants, qualifying for ILR is an intensive 1 day Saturday course at our office in the City of London. It has a particular emphasis on Tier 2 General and Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa categories, applying for a Sponsor Licence and using Tier 2 Code of Practice as well as qualifying for an Indefinite Leave in these routes. It also covers the rules for family members of PBS migrants.

You can earn 7 core CPD hours on this course, awarded by 1st 4Immigration Ltd, who is on the OISC list of acceptable CPD providers.

UK immigration authorities continue to process visa applications, albeit not as fast as they normally would. The visa centres are beginning to gradually re-opening from 1 June 2020 in the UK and abroad. Regardless of when your particular centre re-opens, it is still possible to submit your application online. If your visa expires soon, you can apply for your next visa "on-time", i.e. before your current visa expires, by making such an application online and then waiting for the further steps. UK Visas and Immigration plans to go paperless in 2018. If it works, family visas – for spouses, partners, children etc – will be submitted online instead of the current paper forms and supporting documents.

How do we know? We, 1 st 4Immigration Ltd,   were chosen by the UKVI to take part in a survey to provide a feedback on the upcoming system. We are very honoured! As can be seen on the Home Office letter (pictured), we were selected as one of only approximately 50 firms in the whole country, following the request of the Home Office to the OISC. We had a visit from 2 Home Office officials in November 2017. What a great day and what a productive visit! The officials informed us they had been trying hard to promote the online application process for in-country applications, such as FLR(M) for spouses and partners of UK citizens.
