New successful case and testimonial on a Tier 1 (General) extension – one of the few remaining before April 2015!

“Joanne, Many thanks to you and your colleagues for your services in putting together our application. It went smoothly yesterday at the Croydon Office. Christina was very helpful throughout our time at the office. My husband and I are really grateful. This came from Morayo, a Nigerian national, while our OISC-accredited immigration adviser Joanne Wilson is clearly very popular (since there are 2 testimonials about her work today!) Our client was extending her Tier 1 General visa while extensions are still allowed (will be closed on 6 April 2015, apply before 2 April, which falls on a Thursday, before a bank holiday on Friday the 3 rd ). Moray’s husband was applying as her dependant.   The interesting thing here why some Tier 1 General visa holders need an extra extension? It is expensive and involves a great deal of paperwork. Especially in this case, since Morayo is a director and a shareholder of a limited company in the UK, so we had to provide plenty of papers to evidence

New successful case and testimonial on a UK Spouse visa in Mexico.

“Joanne, my wife got the visa last night! I'd like to say a massive thank you for all your help over the past few months in making all this possible!!   We will be using you again in 2017 to aid us once more. Thank you again for everything!! “   These very nice words came from Chris, a British national whose wife is Mexican and was applying for a Spouse Entry Clearance in her home country, under Appendix FM.   Happy ending!   The next step will be to renew a visa after 2.5 years and then to apply for permanent residency after 5 years. Both steps can be done using same-day service, such as the one we use in Croydon.   For an individual advice or to make your application as successful please contact us: info@1st4immigration.com or visit www.1st4immigration.com If you are an Immigration Adviser or a Solicitor please visit our immigration Training and CPD website: www.1st4immigration.com/training

New successful case and testimonial on a same-day Spouse visa, switching from a Tier 4 Student visa.

“The help and assistance that has been offered by Lucy from the start of correspondence, combined with the excellent support and representation during our same-day-service application by Christina, helped to ease our troubled minds and ensure the outcome we desired. Absolutely great service by all and would highly recommend using them (1 st 4Immigration).”    This came from Samantha, American national married to a British national. Samantha was in the UK on a Tier 4 Student visa. Once the couple married, they wanted to secure a Spouse visa. In this case the main challenge was the Financial Requirement. Both spouses worked but not in the same job in the last 6 months, so we had to use a Category B, which was based on the last 12 months.   We had to wait for approximately 4 – 5 months for the couple to reach the requirement of ‘total earnings in the last 12 months being minimum £18,600’.   Plus we had to calculate the earnings based on the average in the last 6 months for the ‘

Home Office Immigration fees go up in April 2015. If you're eligible - apply now for a visa or Citizenship!

As it happens every year, the Home Office increases the immigration fees from 6 April, as the new tax year starts. If you are eligible for a visa or British Citizenship - apply before April to save the money! The new fees usually come in force on 6 April, however, this year 4 – 5 April falls on a weekend and 3 April is Good Friday (a bank holiday!). That means the last working day with the old fees will be Thursday 2 April. When to apply? If you are planning to use same-day service your appointment has to be by 2 April. If you are planning to use postal service for a visa application (but not Citizenship) the date of application will be the date of posting. Therefore, you will pay a fee applicable on the day of posting, even if the UK Visas and Immigration receives your case on or after 6 April.     Please note this rule only works if you’re using Royal Mail (if you’re using a courier, like DHL, the date of application will be date of delivery to the Home Office). If

Immigration advice session by email, book in February to save money!

Our advice session is often the 1 st step in the immigration process and is useful to assess your eligibility or to advise on the visa requirements. We have 2 options of offering a consultation: over email and at our office in the City of London.   At the moment you can save the money on having an email advice while the current advice fee is still £70 and is cheaper than a face-to-face appointment, which costs £100. From 1 March 2015 our email advice fee will be brought in line with the office appointment fee of £100.   Whether you are approaching your visa expiry date or not, it is never too early to have a consultation. You don’t have to be eligible to apply for a visa now, however, by having an advice session in February 2015 not only can you save the money, you can also benefit from knowing early on what to expect in the future. Many applicants find they should have started preparation in advance, such as keeping or ordering the bank statements. Self-employed people often fi

Last Tier 1 (General) extensions by 2 April 2015 – plan now to benefit from the last ever extensions!

Tier 1 (General) extensions will stop after 5 April 2015, however, the real date is 2 April. This is because 4-5 April fall on a weekend and 3 April is a Good Friday, a bank holiday! If you need one more extension please get in touch with us now, so you would make an application on time! There will be another inevitable rush for same-day service appointments in the last 2-3 weeks, so our advice is to plan in advance: we offer advice sessions now, over email or at our office (if over email we respond by the end of the next working day). Plus our advice session fee is counted towards our application fee.   Furthermore, last Indefinite Leave applications (ILR, permanent residency), which are based on the Tier 1 (General) route, will be in April 2018. Those who   can’t qualify for an ILR by then won’t be able to do it at all.   The only way after 5 April 2018 would be to switch to another category which leads to an ILR. Preferably, a category that can be combined with the time

New successful case and testimonial on a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa.

"1 st 4Immigration was really helpful throughout my Entrepreneur visa application. They know what they are doing. Every bit of information of the application requirement is taken seriously. I have been helped throughout the process with professionalism and patience.  I submitted my application on 4 th August 2014, after 11 th July 2014 new rules came regarding Entrepreneur visa (related to those switching from Post-Study Work visas and required to have already started a business before 11 July 2014, other than “contracting”). There were a lot of changes “overnight”. But 1 st 4Immigration handled the whole process carefully, especially Russell who helped me out with the decision whether I should apply or not. Thank you so much Russell. Special Thanks to Natalia Andrews for her professional help. She is a wonderful person, so welcoming, positive and patience which made my whole application process easier than I thought.  A big Thanks to everyone who are working with 1 st 4Im
